AUTOTAK DUO
sbs pol - 25 °C

Characteristics

AUTOTAK DUO is a self-adhering waterproofing membrane made of distilled bitumen modified with SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) polymers, with an adhesive coating on both faces: this combination makes AUTOTAK DUO the perfect solution for a simple and torch-free application of insulation panels without the use of oxidised bitumen, mechanical fixations, mastics or any other kind of adhesives.

Application is very fast and safe: once aligned the roll in place over a clean and primed substrate, by simply removing the silicone films from the underside, AUTOTAK DUO will adhere in place without the need of a propane gas torch or a hot air machine. Side and head overlaps can be perfectly made by removing the silicone release film from the upper face.
For an easier installation of insulation panels upon AUTOTAK DUO it is recommended to keep half of the upper silicone film in place until the panels are correctly positioned.

Carrier

The carrier is a composite polyester stabilised with longitudinal glass yarns that combine superior dimensional stability with high tensile strength and elongation values and excellent mechanical properties in general.

Intended use according CE Mark Standards

  • AUTOTAK  DUO 2,0 mm: bituminous water vapour diffusion control layer (EN 13970)

Use & Application

Pitched roofs

AUTOTAK DUO is indicated as a self-adhering vapour check layer for applications in presence of high relative humidity and/or low ventilation; it is normally positioned below the insulation layer in order to prevent it from becoming in contact with the sources of humidity and preserve in time the effectiveness of the insulation properties.

For correct installation refer to information provided by Copernit Technical Department.
